Harsh Reality of graduating college: All your friends are all dispersed!

In college, everyone lives around you. The best is freshmen/sophomore year when you all live in the same building. If you’re ever bored you go up one floor or even next door. Slowly as the years pass, people move off-campus, to the other side of campus- and then come post grad, to other states and countries!

Even when I started college, I felt the distance from my high school friends. None of them really went to school in the same state as me (though luckily a lot of them came to the East Coast after!) so I made an effort to stay close to all of them no matter what state they were in.

Doing so, a lot of my close friends now are the same people who were 10 years ago. Amazing- right?! I think it helps having things like Facebook, Twitter, blogs and Skype - you can easily chat and keep up with your friends lives even when they are in different places!

Well, most of us have Skype - but do you have ooVoo? It’s so cool! It enables you to video chat with more than one person. As you know, I’m in New York City. Two of my best friends from BU are in Boston and India! We still keep an email thread updating each other on our lives, but we wanted to do a three way chat.

Therefore, last night we all downloaded the application. Though a little fuzzy it was really fun to see each other! We realized that nothing had changed even though we were all miles apart!
